these 1/4″-20 6-Lobe (Torx) Pan Head Floor-Board Screws employ a
Type F cutting point that taps its own female threads in mild steel
or dense hardwood—no nuts, no pre-tapping.
A low-glare black-phosphate conversion coat with light oil meets
RoHS requirements and provides corrosion protection, while a factory
wax/oil film keeps drive torque predictably low.
