Heat-treated carbon steel is finished in brilliant bright-zinc plating, hydrogen-relief baked to IFI spec, and factory dry-waxed for smooth, consistent seating torque. A Type F fluted point taps clean internal threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips clear through the flute—no clean-up, no backing nut.
