The undercut profile shears away most of the head cone so you get full thread engagement while finishing absolutely flush. Heat-treated carbon steel receives a brilliant bright-zinc electro-plate, is hydrogen-relief baked to IFI spec, and topped with a factory dry-wax film for smooth, repeatable drive torque. A Type F fluted point taps clean threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips clear through the flute—no nut required.
