Clamp like a bolt—no backing nut required. #10-24 Slotted Hex-Washer Thread-Cutting Screws are forged from 410 martensitic stainless steel and heat-treated to Rockwell C38-45, marrying stainless corrosion resistance with carbon-steel strength. The indented hex head + integral washer spreads load and covers oversize holes, while a wide flat-blade slot provides a backup drive in tight quarters. A Type F fluted point taps clean internal threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips exit through the flute—no chip cleanup, welds or nuts. Each screw is passivated and finished with a factory dry-wax film for predictably low seating torque.
