Heat-treated carbon-steel blanks receive a high-lustre bright-zinc electro-plate, are hydrogen-relief baked to IFI specs, then factory dry-waxed for ultra-low, repeatable drive torque. The captive washer flange spreads load, while the Type F fluted point taps clean mating threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole—chips exit via the flute; no nut required.
