When standard 82 ° flat heads sit too tall for thin sheet-metal, shallow countersinks or limited back-side clearance, switch to #10-32 Phillips Flat-Undercut Thread-Cutting Screws. The undercut profile removes most of the head cone, letting you keep full thread length while finishing perfectly flush. Heat-treated carbon steel carries a brilliant bright-zinc electro-plate, is hydrogen-relief baked to eliminate embrittlement, and topped with a factory dry-wax film for ultra-low, repeatable seating torque. A Type F fluted point taps clean internal threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips clear through the flute— no nut required.
