Drive, tap and clamp in one step. #10-32 Slotted Hex-Washer Thread-Cutting Screws are forged from 410 martensitic stainless steel, heat-treated to Rockwell C38-45 for wear resistance while maintaining stainless corrosion protection. The indented hex head with an integral washer spreads load and hides oversized holes, while a broad flat-blade slot offers a back-up drive where sockets can’t reach. Screws are passivated and finished with a factory dry-wax film for predictably low seating torque. A Type F fluted point taps clean internal threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips exit through the flute—no backing nut, no chip clean-up.
