Serrations under the integrated washer bite into the mating surface for mild vibration resistance, while the wide flange spreads load so you can skip separate lock-washers. Heat-treated carbon-steel blanks receive a brilliant bright-zinc finish, are hydrogen-relief baked to IFI spec, then factory dry-waxed for smooth, repeatable seating torque.
