These #2-56 Phillips Flat-Undercut Thread-Cutting Screws solve the problem: the special undercut profile removes most of the 82° cone, giving you maximum thread engagement while finishing absolutely flush—even in 0.040″ sheet. Heat-treated carbon steel wears a brilliant bright-zinc electro-plate, is hydrogen-relief baked to banish embrittlement, and topped with a factory dry-wax film for ultra-low, repeatable seating torque. A Type F fluted point taps clean internal threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips clear through the flute—no nut required.
