For trailer decks, dock plates and heavy-gauge steel assemblies, these 3/8″-16 Indented-Hex Thread-Cutting Screws deliver bolt-level clamp force without the need for a nut. The external hex drive accepts standard sockets or impact wrenches for maximum installation speed and torque. Heat-treated carbon-steel blanks receive a brilliant bright-zinc electro-plate, are hydrogen-relief baked to IFI spec, and finished with a factory dry-wax film for smooth, repeatable seating torque. The Type F fluted point taps clean internal threads in a pre-drilled or punched hole; chips clear through the flute—no chip clean-up, no backing nut.
